The all-electrical control of electronic devices, including magnetic ones, is becoming a hot research subject. The availability of such devices would make it possible to think of new architectures based on heterostructures with low dimensionality and low power consumption. In this regard, magnetoelectric materials provide the possibility of controlling magnetic properties by means of electric fields. The project aims to explore the magnetoelectric coupling of magnetic metallo-organic complexes in contact with 2D VdW ferroelectric materials by means
of a multi-technical approach. The combination of STM/STS, AFM/PFM and XMCD measurements will reveal the physical processes that govern magneto-electric coupling and enable it to be optimized.
