Stéphane Mangin is an internationally renowned specialist in magnetism and spintronics. He has played a key role in understanding the dynamics of current-induced magnetisation, contributing to the development of STT-MRAM memories. He is also involved in the ultrafast manipulation of magnetisation by femtosecond laser pulses, and in the integration of superconducting materials in spin electronics. A Fellow of APS, IEEE and Churchill College, he is an active contributor to PEPR-SPIN France 2030 and the interdisciplinary LUE MAT-PULSE programme.
