Abstract

In this work, Fe3-dO4@citrate hybrid nanoparticles synthesized by a microwave process are characterized by transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and magnetic measurements in order to determine their physicochemical parameters and magnetic properties. The magnetic properties, essential for the elaborated nanoparticles use as contrast agents in MRI, are dependent on the iron oxides structure determined by XRD but also on their chemical composition. Thus, this study aims to establish a protocol for characterizing the nanoparticles chemical composition by two characterization techniques comparison : Mössbauer spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy.
