[Job offer] - Two tenure tracks positions offered for recruitment at IJL (materials durability, spintronic)
The CNRS Junior Professorship scheme makes it possible to recruit talented young researchers, initially on fixed-term contracts and then as civil servants, and to provide them the financial support they need to implement their research projects.
Two chairs are open for recruitment to the Institut Jean Lamour in 2025. Applications are open from 20 May 2025 to 14 July 2025, 23:59 Paris time, and can be made via the CNRS Job Portal application.
CPJ DURAMAT
Key words : circularity, corrosion, degradation, durability, end-of-life, materials
Project : The design of new durable materials that resist degradation in harsh environments, while reducing their environmental impact, is one of the major scientific challenges in the chemistry of inorganic materials. A multi-scale understanding and control of the fundamental degradation mechanisms of materials subjected to extreme conditions or complex couplings is the first challenge to be met. The development of sustainable and circular materials, involving renewable raw materials, virtuous processes and efficient recycling aimed at reducing their social, ecological and environmental footprint, is a crucial issue in the context of a low-carbon, safe and high-performance economy. The aim is to optimise the performance of materials under coupled stresses, often multi-physical and multi-criteria, and their life cycle, reducing dependence on critical resources and improving the end-of-life of materials.

CPJ SPIN
Key words : Spintronics, multifunctional and hybrid heterostructures, spin-orbitronics, magnonics, opto-spintronics, quantum spintronics, topological spin textures...
Project : Applicants should propose a fundamental research project, either experimental or theoretical, that is convincing in its originality and its ability to go beyond the state of the art. The project should be in the field of spintronics, but could also be at the interface between spintronics and other fields of condensed matter physics, such as superconductivity, light-matter interaction, innovative low-dimensional materials and quantum physics, without being exhaustive.
