THYMO [Hydrometallurgical treatment of electronic cards for cell phones]

Abstract

The objective of this project is to collect copper, tin, silver, gold, palladium, tantalum and antimony from the electronic cards of cell phones. A complete hydrometallurgical process for the treatment of electronic cards will be developed. The scientific and technical elements of this innovative and low environmental impact method will also be studied. This project represents an alternative to the pyrometallurgy processes currently used, which do not allow the collection of all the metals present in the electronic cards.
