Activities

The Optic and lasers Competence Center is an IJL's core facility for the optical characterization of materials by UV-VIS-nIR  spectroscopy and by vibrational spectroscopy by measuring UV-VIS-IR absorbance and reflectance, Brillouin and Raman scattering. Its goal is to deploy means of optical characterization of materials in relation to the IJL's research whether it is about in situ monitoring dependent temperature or not or validation of design processes.

Contenu

The competence center offers individualized training according to needs identified after validation of a scientific project’s feasibility. The content includes a theoretical and a practical aspect with validation of the knowledge acquired.
7 modules of 2 hours of training and 2 hours of use are provided by the platform's referents:
 

  • Module A1: basic module to learn how to reserve the confocal microRaman and use it autonomously.
  • Module A2: multi-wavelength Raman spectrosocopy
  • Module A3: Cryostat Raman Spectrosocopy
  • Module B: UV-Visible-IR spectroscopy
  • Module C: FTIR spectroscopy
  • Module D1: Brillouin spectroscopy
  • Module D2: Magnetic Brillouin spectroscopy.
