LabEx DAMAS [Design of Alloy metals for low-MAss Structures]

Abstract

The DAMAS laboratory of excellence was created in 2012 with the support of the French State through the “Investment for the Future” program (PIA). It was integrated into Lorraine University of Excellence (LUE) in 2017 and is part of its structuring projects. The LabEx is organized along four main lines of research: Innovative metallurgical processes, development of alloys and microstructures for weight reduction, advanced characterization techniques and multi-scale modeling and simulation. It involves about 85 researchers from the LEM3 in Metz and the IJL. It has a worldwide outreach thanks to collaborations with 118 laboratories.
