WISSTITWIN (Wireless and Integrated multi-parameters SAW Sensors Technologies for Implementation of a digital TWIN for electrical machines)

Abstract

WISSTITWIN aims to develop a wireless sensor network based on surface acoustic wave devices for the measurement of various parameters, to be integrated into an electrical machine and aiming to provide a continuous flow of data that will result in a constantly updated digital model of the said machine, known as a "digital twin".
The project is motivated by the fact that there is a growing interest in digital twins in a wide range of applications, driven by the desire to understand, predict and optimize performance, improve energy efficiency and increase reliability.
